Camberwell sits between Peckham and the river and is more residential than either. Burgess Park is the big green space — a large, reshaped park with a lake, a playground and long flat paths — and Camberwell Green is the smaller one in the middle of the area. Camberwell Church Street and Denmark Hill handle the shops. There is no tube, so buses and the trains from Denmark Hill do the work.
